pb démarrage/boot après install

J'ai installé mint 18.2 xfce aujourd'hui, mais au redémarrage, ben, justement... pas de redémarrage.
Je m'excuse d'avance de ne pas bien maîtriser les termes techniques, donc je vais essayer d'être le plus clair possible avec mes propres mots :
- l'ordi démarre, mais après le 1er écran du constructeur, qui me laisse le choix de booter sur le DD, un CD/DVD ou une clé USB, dans un premier temps j'ai obtenu un écran noir...
- j'ai donc redémarré cette fois sur ma session live à partir de ma clé, ce qui fonctionne ; en ouvrant gparted, il s'avère que le DD a bien été "repartitionné", avec une partition swap, et une partition unique avec l'OS (un peu plus de 7 Go utilisés) ;
- à partir de là, j'ai installé en live boot-repair (http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/boot-repair" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), j'ai fait les réparations recommandées et demandé un rapport de boot (ci-dessous) :

- j'ai alors redémarré, ainsi que boot-repair m'y invitait, mais le problème "persiste" ; une nuance toutefois, après quelques essais infructueux, j'ai soupçonné un problème au niveau du GRUB, et j'ai donc suivi cette procédure : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/grub-pc#utilisation_du_menu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; => au redémarrage, j'ai maintenu la touche shift enfoncée ; là, j'arrive bien au GRUB, avec la possibilité de sélectionner linux-mint-18.2 (je ne me souviens plus de l'intitulé précis qui s'est présenté à moi), mais une fois la sélection effectuée, une succession de chiffres et de messages imbitables pour moi défile à toute allure, puis blocage de nouveau...
Bref, je ne sais pas/plus quoi faire, j'espère être clair malgré tout. Je suis évidemment dispo pour répondre à toutes vos questions !

Sauf si j'ai loupé un truc elle est où ta partition /home ? Je vois que tu as mis sur sda ta partition /racine, donc pas de souci de ce point de vue, ainsi qu'une swap mais quid de l'autre !

@yvance77 : pour te répondre avec certitude, il faudrait que je puisse booter sur mint... mais étant donné qu'il n'y a qu'une partition (à l'exception du swap), j'imagine que le home et la racine sont dans la même partition. Je précise que j'ai laissé l'installeur gérer ça automatiquement, puisque précisément je ne voulais plus qu'un seul OS sur ce portable.

pour donner une idée de où j'en suis, ce matin j'ai réessayé de démarrer le bousin, et voilà ci-dessous en photo l'écran sur lequel je bloque :

Bien, cela indique qu'il ne peut pas monter ta partition racine, donc aucune chance que cela fonctionne. c'est indiqué sur cette ligne :

kernel panic - not syncing vfs unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0 0)

La solution serait de reconfigurer ou de choisir un autre kernel

Et... qu'est-ce qui induit ce problème ? Par ailleurs, comment le contourner ? Ce que tu proposes n'est pas clair pour moi...

Il est délicat de te répondre car les origines d'un kernel peuvent être multiples. Matériels (ram, disque) d'installation (noyau pas adapté pour ta configuration) ... etc.

Je vais te répondre par une anecdote me concernant. Sur un précédent pc je voulais installer la version 11 de Mint. J'avais une Debian à cette époque qui me gonflait. Tout est allé pour le mieux, sauf une latence inexplicable. J'ai abandonné l'idée de Mint. J'y suis revenu à la sortie de Maya (la 13eme) et avec le même matériel, cela a roulé comme jamais.

Tout ceci pour te dire qu'avec une version cela peut-être OK et une autre cela foirera à s'en arracher les cheveux. Mais ça c'était avant, depuis d'énormes progrès ont été faitsi.

As-tu un second OS (genre Win) ... cela fonctionne ? En live aussi je suppose.

Faire un "memtest" (en lançant le live cd) pour la mémoire déjà et ainsi on procède par élimination

Quelle est le résultat de la commande : uname -r
